The SS Rothermere was a British cargo steamer.
On the 20th May 1941 the SS Rothermere was carrying a cargo of steel and paper, part of convoy HX-126 travelling from Halifax to London. The convoy was attacked and the SS Rothermere was torpedoed by German submarine U-98. She sank 300 miles SE of Cape Farewell, with 22 crew lost from a total of 56.
