104235: 13 Old North Tolsta
13 Old North Tolsta was a newly lotted croft in 1830. The first occupants were Donald Martin, Mary Macdonald and their children: Mary, Margaret and Murdo. Once settled the couple had a further four children: John, Donald, Alexander and Donald. After she was widowed Mary Macdonald married Alexander Murray of 15 Old South Tolsta and the couple had two children: Kenneth and Angus. In 1853, when Old North Tolsta was decrofted to make way for Tolsta Farm, the family emigrated to Canada and settled at Huron Township, Bruce County, Ontario.
