105918: 1 Old South Tolsta
1 Old South Tolsta was a new croft in 1830. It's first occupants were John Campbell and Mary Macdonald. Mary was widowed in 1842 and the following year she exchanged crofts with Angus Macleod of 10 Old South Tolsta.
Angus Macleod, his wife Annie Maciver and their four children settled at 1 Old South Tolsta and they had a further two children there. In the croft re-lotting of 1851 the family obtained 36 North Tolsta.
It appears that Angus's brother Donald lived with him from the time Angus inherited his parents croft up until six years after they moved to 36 North Tolsta. During this time Donald married Mary Maclennan and had his first three children. In 1857 Donald obtained 58 North Tolsta.
