115117: Seaforth Lodge
The Seaforth Lodge was built in 1690 it was part of the Seaforth Estate and located in Stornoway.
In April 1719 the Jacobite supporters met at the Seaforth Lodge to plan the Battle of Glensheil; more information can be found at the Stornoway Historical Society.
In the 1750 the Lodge was extended.
In 1847 Lews Castle was built at the site of the Seaforth Lodge.
