Norman (1885-1954) was a son of Norman Maciver and Marion Maclean, 4 Knock Carloway.

He emigrated to Canada and was working in a silver mine in Vancouver. He served with the 54th Canadian Infantry, part of the Canadian Expeditionary Force in the First World War.

Norman returned to Britain after the War and was living in Woodcote, Surrey at the time of his marriage.

Norman married Louisa Macleod, 13b Knock Carloway at the Highlanders Memorial Church, Glasgow in 1919. The couple settled at  The Registry, Knock Carloway and they had five children.
