105212: John Munro
John (1791-1873) was born in Assynt.
He was the schoolmaster in Bragar, in the 1850s, taking over the role from Hector Morrison in the Gaelic School in Lower Shader, Barvas. During his time as schoolmaster he lived at 1 Lower Shader.
He married Barbara Mackenzie, also of Assynt. They did not have a family.
When John retired in the late 1860s, he moved to 31 Lower Shader.
It is not clear if this is the same John Munro who taught at Taigh-Sgoile Beag in 1815 to 1819; left for Coll in 1819 and returned to Taiigh-Sgoile Beag in 1832, leaving again in or before 1840.
