Mary, born c1803, was the daughter of Donald Macritchie and Christina; it is not certain where the family were living at the time of her birth.
By 1814 the family were settled at 2 Old Melbost, Borve.
She married Malcolm Smith, of 2 Old Mid Borve, and they settled at 2 Old Mid Borve and had seven children.
In 1853, the family left the Isle of Lewis.
