113525: Alexander MacAskill
Alexander, born 1837, was the son of Michael and Catherine MacAskill of Druim Dubh. During the 1840s the family emigrated to Cape Breton, either Sydney Mines or North Sydney. Alexander became a merchant in Cow Bay where, in 1867, he married Jane Eliza Martell. Together they had two children.
