Donald (1856-1940) was the son of Donald Maciver and Mary Campbell of 20/21 Cross, Ness. In 1865 his mother died and his father married Margaret Morrison, 25/26 South Bragar. Donald and his father moved to 26 South Bragar.

Donald married Annie Mackay of 11 South Bragar. The couple settled at 26 South Bragar and they had eight children.
