Roderick (1821-1900) was a son of Kenneth Morrison and Margaret Morrison, 1 Old Cross. In 1855 his Roderick and his widowed mother obtained 8/9 Cross.

He married Christina Mackenzie of 8 High Borve. Roderick and Christina lived at 8/9 Cross and they had five children. In 1868 the family split the croft with his mother retaining 8 Cross and Roderick 9 Cross.
