Alexander (1830-1888) was the son of Alexander Macrae and Mary Macrae, 13 Swordale.
In 1848 he married Christina Maclennan, 7 North Street, Sandwick. Alexander and Christina lived at 13 Swordale and they had nine children.
In the 1857 re-lotting Alexander retained 13 Swordale.
