13335: Fergus Ferguson
Fearghas Rhaghnaill Fhearghais
Fergus (1886-1971) was a son of Ronald Ferguson and Christina Macleod, 12 Habost.
In 1917, at Anderston in Glasgow, he married Angusina Mackay, Oldshoremore, Sutherland. Fergus and Angusina settled in Dumbarton and they had three children. Fergus died on the day the Erskine Bridge was opened.
Fergus was widowed in 1945.
He worked in Clydebank as a carpenter and had an accident with a power saw whilst at work and lost his finger. As it couldn't be sewn back on, he kept it in a jar and the next time he came to Habost on holiday, he buried his finger on a hill behind 12 Habost.
