Iain Mhurchaidh Thormoid
John (1845-1916) was a son of Murdo Macdonald, 6 Scalpay, Isle of Harris. He moved to Glasgow and lived at 2 Hyde Park Street.
He married Christina Mackenzie, 7 Keose in 1870. John and Christina lived at Am Baile, Scalpay and they had three children.
In the 1880s the family moved to 12 North Beach Street, Stornoway.
