Malcolm (1913-1986) was a son of Donald Mackinnon and Catherine Smith, 2 Balallan. He  served with the Seaforth Highlanders during the Second World War and was injured on active service. His wife was from Shieldenish and they lived at 6 Battery Park Road, Stornoway.
