Murdo (1862-1903) was a son of Donald Macleod and Mary Kennedy, Crobeg. His mother died in 1868 and the family moved to 5 Garyvard in 1870.

In 1871 he was living with his grandmother, Annabella Macarthur and uncle Roderick at 6 Torostay.

In Lochs, in 1891, he married Mary Mackinnon, 9a Ranish. Murdo and Mary were Cottars at 14 Ranish and they had three children.
