Catherine (born 1895) was a daughter of Allan Macfarlane and Margaret Mackenzie, 10 Marvig.
She emigrated to North America.
In Los Angeles, California, in 1926, she married Angus Nicolson, formerly of 27 Lemreway and they settled at 754 East Vernon Avenue.
Three years later Catherine was widowed when Angus died of complications from his War Service Injury.
Catherine returned to Lewis and lived with her brother, Alexander who was the minister at the Shawbost Free Church.
