63199: Duncan Maclennan

Duncan (1776-1855) was a son of John Maclennan and Christine Mackenzie. He was born at the head of Loch Shell and married Margaret Mackenzie. They were evicted from Southern Park and became the first tenants of 18 Marvig. The couple had eight children. The Maclennans were said to have come from Argyll originally and Duncan was one of the six kelpers listed at Marvig in 1810.  

Duncan was widowed and in Lochs, in 1834, he married  Ann Macritchie of 40 Gravir. In the 1851 Census he is a blind pauper.
