Angus (born 1804) was a son of William Macleod and Catherine Macleod, Frith na Hearadh near Cliasmol, Harris. They later settled at 4 Old Eishken and Buanish.
In Harris, in 1834, he married Ann Campbell, 4 Carrigreich, Harris. Angus and Ann settled in Uiginish, Isle of Skye.
On Skye he was known as the Harris Shepherd and a bridge where he was known to walk is still named after him. He was paid 5/- shillings each for capturing eagles who were killing lambs.
Angus is buried at Eilean Chaluim Chille, Skeabost Island on the Snizort River.
