John (born 1830) was a son of Donald Munro and Christina Matheson, 22 Crowlista. The family also lived in Reef and Erista.
In 1855 he married Euphemia Montgomery from 3 Sheshader. John and Euphemia lived at 1 Sheshader and they had three children. The family are enumerated at Sheshader in 1861.
John was deported to Australia in 1867 for alleged sheep-stealing.
