67963: Angus Mackay
Angus (1893-1915) was the son of Murdo Mackay and Ann Macarthur, 4 Kirvick.
He served in 2nd Seaforth Highlanders, Service Number 3/6898, in the First World War. Angus went to the front early and died in Oxford after gas poisoning received at La Bassee on 9 May 1915.
He is buried in Dalmore Cemetery and his name is commemorated on the Carloway War Memorial and the Lewis War Memorial in Stornoway.
