Ruairidh Alasdair
Roderick (born 1799) was the son of Alexander Murray and Margaret Macdonald. By November 1820 an Alexander Murray appears on the sub-tenants list of Old South Tolsta Tack, but as two Alexander Murrays obtained crofts in 1830 it is not clear which of them was there earlier.
He married Margaret Stewart of 22 Old Coll. In 1830, during the croft re-lotting, the family obtained 11 Old North Tolsta. Roderick and Margaret had ten children.
In 1851 the family emigrated to Canada and settled at Whitton, Quebec.
