105152: HMS Wyvern

HMS Wyvern, also spelled HMS Wivern, was launched at the Isle of Wight in 1919. Following its early service, the destroyer was in reserve for a number of years, being recommissioned in 1939. In May 1940, the Wyvern‘s pennant number was changed from D66 to I66, and it took part in the evacuation of Allied personnel from the Hook of Holland, suffering extensive damage on 14th May. Following repairs the ship continued convoy duties in the North Sea.
