113543: HMS Thames
HMS Thames was a Mersey-class protected cruiser built, for the Royal Navy, by the Pembroke Dockyard and launched in 1885.
Initially serving as a port guard ship at Queenstown
In 1903 she was converted into a submarine depot ship and served at Sheerness from 1907-1917.
She then served briefly at Portsmouth and Campbeltown, Scotland before being decommissioned in 1919.
In 1920 she was sold and her name changed to General Botha. She served in South Africa as a naval training ship until 1942.
In 1942 the Royal Navy used her as an accommodation ship, under her original name.
In 1947 she was scuttled by gunfire.
