The MV El Argentino was built by Fairfield Shipbuilding and Engineering Company Limited 1928 for Furness Houlder, Argentina Shipping Line. She was bombed north west of Lisbon on July 26, 1943 whilst on convoy from Montivideo to Glasgow with the loss of 4 crew.
