HMS Proserpine was a Shore Naval Base at Lyness, Orkney  covering Boom Defence at Scapa Flow in the Second World War. The command was later sub-divided - HMS Pomona constructed and repaired Boom Defence nets and HMS Pleiades controlled the Drifter Pool, a fleet of around 100 small fishing boats that ferried goods and personnel between shore and ships around Scapa Flow.
