120240: SS Tiberton (142861)

The SS Tiberton was a Steam Cargo Vessel built by Richardson, Duck & Co, Thornaby on Tees in 1920 for R Chapman & Son, Newcastle upon Tyne.

On passage from Narvik to Middlesbrough,  33 miles east of Kirkwall, on February 19, 1940,  the SS Tiberton was torpedoed and sunk with the loss of all crew.
