The SS Abbotsford was a Cargo Steamer built by Goole Shipbuilding and Repairing Co Ltd, Goole in 1924 for the Bucks SS & Coal Exports Co Ltd, Goole.

On passage from Ghent to Grangemouth, in the North Sea north of Zeebrugge, on March 10, 1940 the SS Abbotsford was torpedoed and sunk with the loss of 19 crew.
