The SS Empire Dell was a CAM Ship (Catapult Aided Merchant Ship) built by Lithgows Ltd, Port Glasgow in 1941 for the Ministry of Transport.
She served in the Second World War until May 1942 when she was torpedoed and sunk with the loss of two lives.
