120542: HMS Prince Leopold

The HMS Prince Leopold was a Ferry built by John Cockerill SA, Hoboken, Antwerp in 1930 for the Ostende to Dover route. She was requisitioned by the Admiralty on September 22, 1940 for use as a Landing Ship for Infantry.

On July 29, 1944, HMS Prince Leopold was hit by a Gnat Torpedo and sunk with the loss of 20 lives.
