120630: HMT Night Hawk
The Fishing Vessel Night Hawk was built by Cook, Welton & Gemmell Ltd, Beverley in 1911 for the Pioneer Steam Fishing Co Ltd, Grimsby. She was requisitioned by the Admiralty and HMT Night Hawk was converted to a Minesweeper.
On December 25, 1914 the HMT Night Hawk struck a mine 4 miles ESE of Scarborough and was sunk with the loss of six lives.
