The SS Saranac was a Tanker built by Palmers Shipbuilding & Iron Co Ltd, Newcastle Upon Tyne in 1918 for the Anglo-American Oil Co Ltd, London.
On June 25, 1940 on passage from Southampton to Aruba the SS Saranac was torpedoed and sunk with the loss of 4 lives.
