120805: HMS Jupiter

HMS Jupiter was a Majestic Class Battleship built by J & G Thomson, Clydebank in 1895 for the Royal Navy. She served in the Channel Fleet and was put in reserve in 1908 due to the new dreadnaught battleships. In 1912 she was a gunnery training ship. She served in the First World War as a guard ship on the River Tyne and was used as an ice breaker on the Russia route to Archangel. HMS Jupiter served at the Suez Canal and in 1920 was scrapped.
