121004: HMS Eagle

The Almirante Cochrane  was a Battleship built by Armstrong Whitworth, Elswick, Newcastle in 1911 for Chile. In early 1918 she was purchased by the Royal Navy and converted to an Aircraft Carrier.  

She served in the Second World War and on August 11, 1942 she was torpedoed and sunk
