51845: Clansman

The ‘Clansman’, a wooden lugger with a cargo of ballast, foundered about 7 miles south of Stornoway lighthouse on 27 February, 1907.

The steam yacht ‘Monsoon’ put into Portree and reported to Police that one of the gentlemen on board had been ashore on Mary’s Island……………..and had seen human remains.
