Grana

Grana

The Grana was a French Schooner which was damaged by a storm off northern Iceland. The ship was salvaged by Icelandic fishermen and used to transport cargo, and was carrying salt fish when it was shipwrecked at Mangersta in Uig in 1896. The crew were saved by Christina Mackay when it ran aground. The remains are still in the sands at Mangersta.
