Ardroil Cemetery is situated at the head of Uig Bay. It belongs to the people of Ardroil. The first burial there was in 1907 – Mrs Margaret Macdonald, 7 Geshader (Bean ‘ain bhuidhe), John Macaulay, 1 Islivig and in 1909, Ann Maciver, 4 Geshader.
There are 7 Commonwealth burials of the 1914-18 war here. There are 5 more from the 1939-45 war, 2 being unidentified seamen of the Merchant Navy.
