3 New Tolsta was lotted in 1922. Its first occupants were Torquil Campbell, Marion Ferguson and three of their four children, the oldest child Murdina died before 3 New Tolsta was lotted.

The croft was passed onto Torquil the son of Torquil Campbell and Marion Ferguson; Torquil moved to 2 Airigh a’ Bhreide in his old age.

The croft was then passed on to John Macritchie and his family.
