104125: 4 Old North Tolsta

4 Old North Tolsta was a newly lotted croft in 1830; the first occupants were Angus Smith, Ann Macdonald and at least some of their adult children including: Jessie and John. In due course 4 Old North Tolsta passed to John.

John Smith was married to Catherine Macdonald, of Gress Tack, they had seven children: Anne, Colin, Angus, Alexander, Christina, Angus, and John. In 1853, when Old North Tolsta was decrofted and the land became Tolsta Farm, the family obtained 24 North Tolsta.
