The first tenant of 8 Aird Tong was Angus Finlayson (1791-1853) and he passed the croft to his daughter, Margaret who passed it to her son, Alexander Finlayson. His daughter, Mrs Dolina Macpherson was the next tenant who passed it to her son, Roderick.

There was a cottar on the croft a widow Catherine Cameron or Macphail.
