The first tenant of 4 Kyles Scalpay was John Macdonald and in the 1820s the croft passed to Neil Maclean.

Kenneth Macinnes (1777-1868) son of Angus, Tolmachan, Harris and in the 1830s moved to 2 Kyles Scalpay.

Murdo Morrison (1780-1845) son of John from Leacklee was the next tenant and he passed the croft to his son, Kenneth (1833-1904) who passed it to his son, Donald John (1877-). His son Kenneth Morrison, a bachelor was the next tenant.
