120758: Ballone Castle, Portmahomack

Ballone Castle was built in 1590. By the nineteenth century it had fallen into ruin, but was restored as a private home in the late twentieth century. The castle is located just outside the village of Portmahomack; it is also known as Bindal Muir, Tarbat Castle and Castlehaven.
