121657: 2a Calbost

Donald Kennedy (1780-1830) was the first tenant of  2 Calbost.  Upon the death of his widow Margaret Mackenzie (1782-1866) the croft was split between their sons Roderick (1822-1895) and Dugald (1821-1879). 

Roderick became the tenant of 2a Calbost and passed the croft to his son, Roderick (1858). 2a Calbost was passed to his cousin, Donald (1864-1952) along with 2b Calbost. His daughter, Margaret, Mrs Murdo Macfarlane inherited the croft and passed it to her son, John Macfarlane who sold the croft
