13495: 7 Balallan

Aulay Kennedy, 52 Balallan had the tenancy of this croft before moving to 14 Arivruach in the 1840s.

Malcolm Macleod, married to Ann Macleod, 17 Balallan became the next tenants and his son John was tenant of the croft from 1902 until 1909. John and his family moved to Aultbea in the late 1930s. Murdo, John’s brother was the tenant from 1916 until 1939.

The croft was sold in 1954 to Murdo Smith, 2 Balallan.
