1405: 19 Kirkibost

No.19 Kirkibost (Rubha Ghlais) is one of the largest crofts in Bernera. It is situated at the furthest point in the south east of Kirkibost. The sea is on 3 sides and Nos. 18 and 20 on the noth-west. The 1st tenant after resettlement was Donald Macaulay, "Domhnall Mairi" and it stayed in the family until the 1970’s when it was sold. A second house was built for a family member. The buyer kept the original house but the croft was sold and the purchaser took on the second house.
