21521: 20a Balallan

Malcolm Macleod (1835-1923) became the first tenant of 20a Balallan when croft 20 Balallan was split in 1886. His son Kenneth (1882-1949) gave up his studies at Aberdeen University to run his father’s shop at No 20 and he then ran a Post Office and Harris Tweed business from 20a.
