2 Ungeshader
No 2 Ungeshader, home of the Smith family, consisted of a blackhouse and enclosures on the shore, with a slipway and seawall to facilitate the handling of boats, and another blackhouse further up the hill (later supplanted by a small modern house).
On high ground to the north of the shore house was an enclosure for vegetables; the larger enclosure behind the house was the iodlainn or cornyard. There is a well just below it. The shore house was occupied until about the 1940s.
