1 Reef was lotted in 1921, when the village was resettled.

The first tenant was Calum Bonar Macleod from Ardroil farm; he was followed by John Macdonald (Iain Mhorgain) from 4 Kneep, who actually lived at 15 Reef with his brother. The third tenant was Murdo Maclean from 2 Reef.
