663: 18 Laxay

The first known tenant of 18 Laxay was Hector Macdonald (1807-1888) who lived in Stiemreway, Lemreway and Habost before moving to Laxay in c1840. Hector originally came from Bernera. His son John (1839-1919) inherited the croft, followed by John’s son Hector (1891-1975).
