8 Borve, Berneray
8 Borve, Berneray
8 Borve was created in 1900, when the Congested Districts Board for Scotland persuaded the South Harris Estate to break up Borve Farm and re-allocate the land as crofts.
Croft 8 was allotted to Alexander MacLean, and the croft stayed in the MacLean family for many years, passing down to Roderick, his brother Norman and then to Norman's son Donald.
