The first tenant of this croft was John Macarthur (b1795), married to Catherine Macneil. It is not known where they originated from. The croft was passed to daughter Christina (b1832), her son Angus (b1863) and thereafter to Ann who was married to Donald Macleod, 23 Upper Carloway.
